Use the control key to zoom in and out with ease.
Many of you already know you can zoom in and out in Microsoft Word by selecting the percentage of zoom in the zoom control on the toolbar (it's the one with percentages and the drop down box). Zooming in enhances the view of the screen so that you can see the information better, (good for my tired eyes as I grow older). You can also see the extent of your work when zooming out.
Shorcut to Zooming
The quickest way to use the zooming feature is by holding the control key, (the Ctrl key is located next to the space bar on your keyboard), and then moving the wheel on your mouse forward to zoom in and backward to zoom out. It's much quicker and easier then selecting the Zoom on the toolbar.
Works with other programs too!
You can use this tip with Excel and PowerPoint as well. Try it with any Windows program, some allow zooming using this technique.
